The Days

From the land to the people who transform it.

Across four experiential chapters, the journey follows the connections between cultivation, cooking, craftsmanship and local production, always adapting to the real rhythm of the season.

01

The Land That Nourishes

Gardens, Crops & the Flavours of Lake Trasimeno

The first encounter with the territory begins with the land itself. A guided visit to cultivated fields and local gardens introduces the natural cycles of the region, traditional crops and the everyday relationship between farmers and landscape.

The journey does not begin with the finished dish, but with the place where its ingredients are grown and with an understanding of how seasonality determines what the land can offer.

The experience concludes with a dinner dedicated to local products and the flavours of the territory.

02

Cooking as Storytelling

Local Farm · Seasonal Ingredients · Agriristoro

The second chapter enters the heart of the relationship between production and cooking. At a local farm, the experience follows the natural journey of ingredients from harvesting to transformation.

A showcooking dedicated to Umbrian cuisine demonstrates how simple, seasonal and local ingredients become dishes capable of telling the story of a culture.

Lunch or dinner at the agriristoro completes the experience: what guests have observed earlier reaches the table directly.

In the afternoon, the programme may continue with a visit to a local producer or allow time for relaxation.

03

Villages, Makers & Umbrian Craft

Reed Craft · Saffron · Extra Virgin Olive Oil

The story expands beyond the kitchen to the hands that transform raw materials. Selected encounters introduce artisans who preserve traditional techniques and continue to shape Umbrian identity.

The programme may include traditional reed craftsmanship together with experiences connected to saffron and extra virgin olive oil, revealing the same principle encountered in food: raw material acquires value through time, knowledge and manual skill.

The chapter concludes with a tasting at a local winery.

04

The Culture of Taste

Wine · Local Production · Final Gastronomic Experience

The final experiential chapter brings together the different elements of the journey. A visit to a winery with guided tasting reveals how the agricultural landscape becomes wine through waiting, technique and knowledge.

The experience may then be enriched with hands-on activities, a showcooking led by a maître chocolatier, encounters with local producers or a final gastronomic experience.

The concluding dinner becomes the moment in which the threads of the journey meet: products, people and territories encountered throughout the programme.

Travel Advisor Tip
This is a journey inside the food system that makes Umbria distinctive: the land that produces, the hands that transform and the people who preserve a culture that is still alive.

Food is the starting point, not the destination.

The strength of the programme lies in connecting agriculture, production, craftsmanship and cooking as different expressions of the same territory.
